MAKE is a creative studio that specializes in the art of storytelling through animation, visual effects, and motion graphics. We believe the most rewarding work stems from a strong sense of teamwork, collaboration with our clients, and a desire to make something fresh and compelling.
We are looking for a 2D Artist to join the team. A 2D Artist at MAKE would familiar with all aspects of the animation pipeline, capable of handling a range of styles as well as enjoy storyboarding and visual development. We create both commercials, branded content and original stories which means projects change and move quickly. This necessitates the ability to think on your feet, bounce around and prioritize in a dynamic environment.
The position is full time in Minneapolis. Relocation is required.
Starting date: May-July (exact date is negotiable).
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Implement changes and completely finish shots, making sure to work within production schedules.
• Create high-quality 2D animations for a variety of projects, including character animations, motion graphics, and visual effects.
• Collaborate with the creative team and the Creative Director to develop storyboards, animatics, and concept designs.
• Stay updated on industry trends and techniques to continually improve skills and contribute innovative ideas to projects.
Requirements:
• Strong sense of organization, artistic ability, and attention to detail as well as an eye for composition, light, and color.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to do self-directed learning.
• Ability to follow feedback and instruction from supervisors and leads.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• A knack for storytelling and acting.
• Knowledge of frame-by-frame animation techniques.
• Understanding of compositing and post-production processes.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Toon Boom harmony exprience a plus.
• Familiarity with industry-standard workflows and best practices in animation production.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
