MAKE is looking for a 3D Artist to join the team. A 3D Artist at MAKE would familiar with all aspects of the VFX/animation pipeline, as well as have a certain specialties they could focus on. We mostly create commercials and branded content which means projects change and move quickly. This necessitates the ability to think on your feet, bounce around and priorities in a dynamic environment. We also create our own original shorts so a knack for storytelling is a big plus!
The position is full time in Minneapolis. Relocation is required.
Starting date: May-July (exact date is negotiable).
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Working on several aspects of the animation/VFX pipeline.
• Create high-quality 3D animations for a variety of projects, including animations, motion graphics, and visual effects, both commercial and narrative.
• Implement changes and completely finish shots, making sure to work within production schedules.
• Stay updated on industry trends and techniques to continually improve skills and contribute innovative ideas to projects.
Requirements:
• Strong sense of organization, artistic ability, and attention to detail as well as an eye for composition, light, and color.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to do self-directed learning.
• Ability to follow feedback and instruction from supervisors and leads.
• Experience in Look Development.
• Experience in 3d scene layout.
• Knowledge of camera and mechanical animation.
• Experienced in Modeling, Texturing.
• Understanding of dynamic FX, and/or particle simulation.
• Understanding of multi-pass rendering, and compositing.
• Standard compositing skill-set inside of Nuke compositing software.
• Solid understanding of production pipeline tools.
• Excellent communication skills and technical knowledge, work well within a team, and independently.
• Ability to learn new techniques, and develop new workflows.
• Particle, Rigid Body and Fluid TD experience a plus.
• Familiarity with shot-tracking software is a plus.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
