Welcome to the wild wild web where Mediacom stands as the main line of defense against malware, bots and worms. This ever expanding digital space is fraught with all kinds of exposure to online danger. We envisioned a space full of malware manifest as robots that menace our machines. This is Mediacom’s stark position in the vanguard against online security threats.
PROCESS
This is our view of the wild web full of real mechanical malware. Our main designs came from the names of the different types of malware like trojan horse, virus or worm. Each bot had its own animation rig that gave our malware bots a gritty, futuristic and threatening presence.
As a sterile industrial space is invaded by our malware bots, We integrated our CG environment with our live-action talent. The malware is the villain of this story and it is there invasion that is the focus of the scene.
Our final scenes are stark and minimal. With this minimal environment we could saturate our malware bots with details, giving them a creepy crawly vibe as they tunnel and then burst through the floor. From all the mechanical bits to the debris simulations, each shot brought thrilling, layered animation that made the malware menacing.
