Easton has an incredible history in the world of baseball—one that spans generations and inspires new ones. The B5 Pro passes the torch to the next generation in this green and silver reverie shared by a father and son. Taking place at the iconic Rosenblatt stadium in Omaha, the B5 Pro crushes the competition in a championship game that evokes a classic nostalgia for the sport.
VISUAL DEVELOPMENT
Easton is known for its green and silver, and these two colors drove the dominant look and feel of the piece. We wanted to capture an epic night-time game with rich stylized shadows and hot stadium lights. Our main consideration with our look is that we wanted the game winning moments to feel nostalgic and dream-like. This is fantastical realism that celebrates Eastons next chapter in their legacy.
STYLE
The style is heavily influenced by comic editorial illustrations. Large blocks of contrasting shadows create dynamic black and white compositions. We used split screens and comic panels to show multiple perspectives of the game. Exaggerated perspectives elevate the drama and tension within the hardest hitting moments.
Process
Our hand animation process is iterative and flexible. From rough-drawings, final line work to color and shading passes, each scene is brought to life with decisive, stylized steps.
