INTEVIEWING REAL CARTOONS
Animated characters are people too. They have real passion and understanding of their work, but has any one asked them what they think about it? We decided to interview them to see how they actually feel about the work they do for us everyday. What we found was provocative, inspiring and not so unlike the world we live in with all of its expectations, misconceptions and straight up myths of real animated actors.
THE TALENT
Let's give a round of applause for our animated actors. They cover a full spectrum of experiences and personalities, all searching for their signature role. These characters became real for us, and even got mistaken for co-workers or famous actors from time to time. But we get to see them when the camera’s are turned off, the compositors have left the room and artists have put their pencils down.
BEHIND THE SCENES
Many Interviews, one studio setting—this is your average photo studio complete with industrial lights, elegant sweeps and staged furniture where all the interviews happen. This is an unfiltered view of what an animated actor experiences outside of the frame.
