Welcome to Tech Deck Sk8 Crew, where the school bus is something you shred on, not get on. In this rad spot, we bring the crew's big personalities to life while they catch even bigger air. Whether you're a veteran fingerboarder or just getting started, when you’re riding with the crew? Everyone can bring the heat.
Woah, dude, wait a sec— Do that flip again! I'll film you this time!
Fingerboarding is more than just a hobby—it's a lifestyle. Your homies push you to skate harder, faster, higher! Our own in-house crew of artists hype each other up the same way, from making sure we'll seamlessly cut on action with accurate animatics, to a flawlessly integrating our 3d world with real-life fingers on boards. This is where passion meets precision to make sure that kickflip lands.

The visual development process starts with our artists designing a purposefully off-kilter city to match the rebellious, creative spirit of Tech Deck. There's not a straight line in sight in these rooftops- but who ever said skating life followed the rules? We then painted details onto every brick, curb and cobblestone to make them pop. Those textures tell a story of a city well-loved by its skaters.
The animation process is all about getting that into every second. Animators capture the energy and flow of skateboarding in miniature form, translating each character’s movement from animatic to screen. Each keyframe is carefully planned to highlight the unique personalities of the Sk8 Crew, ensuring their sick flips are both authentic and playful. Now that's fuego.

We crafted a not-so-miniature-anymore cityscape that brought skate culture to life, from gritty alleyways to iconic rooftop spots. This immersive environment isn’t just a backdrop; it’s an interactive world that invites fans to imagine their Sk8 Crew exploring every corner, shredding from ramps to rooftops.

Our VFX integration process transforms raw footage of miniature skaters into dynamic scenes set against vibrant cityscapes. Starting with footage shot in our green screen studio, the team carefully isolates each character’s movements, from kickflips to slides, and color codes to match the world they'll inhabit. Once the raw footage is processed, it’s combined with digitally modeled city backdrops—rooftops, stair sets, and alleyways—all designed to make the real-life hands of the kids enjoying the fun look like they belong. The seamless fusion of real toy play and animated action immerses fans in a miniature skate world where every trick looks larger than life.
Thanks for rolling with the Tech Deck Sk8 Crew! During our time hanging with the crew, we'd like to think we learned a thing or two about the power of reimagining the world around you and bringing your creativity to the table. Every board, every trick, and every collaboration is a step closer to greatness.
Keep shredding!
